This article discusses the possibility of violence and an international diplomatic incident as the South Asian passengers aboard the Komagata Maru are refusing to allow the ship to be moved and threatening violence if an attempt is made to set sail for a return voyage with them still onboard. Two Japanese war ships due in port may be asked to provide armed troops to subdue the passengers during the return voyage.
