This article discusses some of the actions taken by the South Asian immigrants aboard the Komagata Maru including a boycott of the individual hearings being held before the immigration board for members of the party claiming prior residence and a potential hunger strike by the passengers. It also discusses the passengers-- claims that there is a lack of water and food aboard the ship and their requests that the Canadian government assume responsibility for their maintenance while they are being held in port and denied entry.
