This article discusses immigration inspector R.J. Reid--s statement that a number of legal barriers have been enacted to prevent the south Asian immigrants from the Komagata Maru from being admitted into Canada. Among those include an extension of the order-in-council prohibiting any immigration of labourers or artisans into B.C., the required medical examinations, and the re-enactment of the Continuous Journey Regulation and the 0 Reasonable Cash Qualification applied to South Asian immigrants.
