An account for $2,600 due Contractor Nels Olund on Sept. 1 under the con- struction contract, was brought to the Council requesting an advance to enable payment. After some heated discussion, the Council declined to ad- vance the requested amount, Reeve McCallum ‘reporting that the munici- pality’s sblicitors advised against pay- ing the account under existing circum- stances.
