It will probably be necessary to play a deciding game between these two teams, and as they appear to be even- ly matchd, it should be a good one. In a friendly game the Matsqui In- termediate B team defeated Port Han- ey High School by 26-10, All the Matequi team played well and their combination was (greatly improved. The Haney boys played good basket- ball, but were handicapped to a cer- tain extent by the small hall. Scorers for Matsqui: Kemprud 14; B. Men- aul 6; D. Bickerton 6. In the third game the Oldtimers, or “Cripples” as they preferred to be called, gave the Senior C team a good work out, In the first half there was no scoring, but in the second half some of the Oldtimers found that their staying powers was’ not as good as ‘t used to be, and consequently the Sen- fors scored some baskets, but even at that the score was not heavy. There was a record turn-out of spec- tators at these games, and the Mats- qui people are certainly encouraging the teams by the splendid support get! are giving them.
