One beaten egg and 1 teaspoon vinegar plus a table-
spoon sugar added to the cold water makes your
pastry flakier.

A thin layer of butter over the cut end of cheese will
keep it moist and fresh.

Try buttermilk instead of water in your next pie crust.
It makes it much flakier.
