Add the sugar, shortening, mashed potatoes and salt. Cool to luke- warm. Dissolve the yeast in 14 cup lukewarm water. Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes. Add to potato milk mixture with eggs, flavoring and cinnamon. Add flour gradually, beating to a smooth dough with a wooden spoon. Scrape into a warm, greased bowl. Cover and let rise in a warm place until double in bulk. Punch down and turn out on a floured board. Roll to 14-inch thickness and cut with a doughnut cut- ter. Let rise on the table or board until double in bulk. Fry in deep fat, 375 degrees. Drain on brown paper. Glaze if desired, by di'tp- ping in 4 cup water, 114 cups icing sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla. —Emma Hulit Cinnamon Rolls Are your Cinnamon Rolls a little on the dry side, Try this: Mix 2 cups Brown Sugar, 34, cup cream. Pour this mixture into your large greased baking pan and make your cinnamon rolls as usual and lay them (as usual) in the pan on top of the syrup. You may add chopped walnuts or pecans to your syrup.
