The present works will be shown by special arrangement for two weeks, and an artist’s statement accompanies each piece — don’t miss the scheduled discussion with the artist. What you see is only a beginning! The Artwork committee has been hard at work developing policies that we hope will create a good climate for the exhibition of art throughout the college, and will establish the basis of a permanent collection that will be a credit to the institution in the future. To ensure that we have the best possible acquisitions and exhibitions program, we need your help,.and we’ve shamelessly used these art pieces to get your attention. We are working as fast as we can to establish practices that work well. You work here; you know the place. Please be part of the planning process by sending us your ideas. Think big: our mandate covers art exhibition for the whole college, with the exception of the Fine Arts area. When we have a draft we will circulate it, revise it, and put it before the Board. Please forward any suggestions you . have about the collecting and exhibition of art to the committee chair, Rory Wallace. Committee members: Peter Jones (ex officio), Hazel Lockhart, Hugh Shewell, Bruce Pashak, Marion Llewellyn, Monika McEwen, Vashti King, Bob_. Warick, Brandon Theissen, Cameron Roy, Karen Unger, Rory Wallace (Chair). Headlines will be published once in April, probably the week of April 22.
