Johnson, victims of the sad drowning tragedy on-Sunday afternoon at Powell River, were frequent visitors to Abbotsford, being intimate friends of Mr. and Mrs. E. MacKay. A jolly birthday party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs, David Sykes on Monday evening, it being the oc- casion of Mrs, Sykes’ birthday.
