THE DAILY PROVINCE NOVEMBER 25, 1911 HINDU DELEGATION TO SEE PREMIER ------------------Will Ask to Be Allowed to Bring Wives and Families to Canada. ------------------- Ottawa, Nov, 25.—A deputation of British Columbia Hindus, consisting of Dr. Sunda Singh. Prof. Tega Singh and Prazarah(?) Singh, accompanied by Mr. L. W. Hall of Vancouver, arrived in Ottawa this morning to ask the government to relax the immigration regulations so that in future(Sic) Hindus may be able to bring their wives and families to Canada. They also asked that the law which makes it imperative for Hindus to come direct from India be changed, because there is no direct steamship service between India and the Dominion. The Hindus, who will wait upon the Premier on Monday, it is understood, will also make complaint that they are not, as citizens of the Empire, receiving fair treatment in Canada.
