LEMON SQUARES

27 crushed graham crackers 4c, white sugar

+c, margarine

Cream margarine and sugar, then add crumbs, Line bottom of greased pan

with 2 of crumb mixture and bake in oven at 350 F. for 10 minutes.

Filling
2 pkys. cream cheese (small) lc, white sugar
1 lemon, juice and rind 3 eggs, well beaten

Cream cheese and gradually add sugar, eggs and lemon juice and rind and mix
well, Spread this over baked mixture, scatter remaining crumbs over filling
and bake 20 minutes at 350° F, Cut when cool.

MARBLE CHEWS
2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla
4 tsp. salt 1 oz. unsweetened chocolate (melted)
& ¢C. chopped nuts & ¢. white sugar
1c. brown sugar 2/3 c. flour

Beat eggs until light, add brown sugar then white sugar, salt and vanilla.
Sift in flour and combine well. Spread half the mixture in greased floured 8"
square pan. Tothe remainder add the melted chocolate and spread this mixture
over the batter in the pan. Swirl with spoon to give marble effect. Sprinkle
with nut meats. Bake in 350° F, oven for about 30 minutes, Ice if desired,
