Add well beaten egg, then vanilla and small amount of flour and milk. Add dates, rice crispies, then remainder of dry ingredients and milk. Pour into greased floured 8 X 10 pan and bake at 350°F. for about 20 minutes. When cool, make icing - 2 Tbsp. margarine lL tsp. vanilla 2 Tbsp. milk enough icing sugar to make of spreading consistency.
