Mix icing sugar (about 114 cups) with 1 tbsp. butter (soft). Add juice of the orange and beat briskly until fluffy. Combine biscuit mix and salt. Stir into egg mixture. Add dates and nuts. Pour into greased 9- x 9- x 2-inch pan. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees F.) 35 minutes. Cool slightly.
