Val Stewart SAVORY SUPPER SANDWICH 2(7 oz.) cans tuna 2 tablespoons mayonnaise 1(19 oz.) can crushed pineapple %teaspoon dill weed ¥% cup sliced green onion 6 slices French bread 1 tablespoon sliced pimento 9 strips bacon partially cooked Y, cup dairy sour cream % cup shredded Swiss cheese Drain tuna, turn into large mixing bowl. Drain pineapple well. Add to tuna along with green onion and pimento. In small bowl combine sour cream, mayonnaise, dill weed. Toss into tuna mix. Toast bread, then spread each slice with tuna com- bination. Cut each bacon strip in half crosswise. Place three half strips on top of each sandwich, sprinkle cheese over bacon, broil in oven 3 or 4 inches from heat for 5 minutes or until bacon is crisp and cheese is brown and bubbly. Alaskaking crab(or 2teaspoons lemon juice fresh) 1 teaspoon grated orange rind 1can (8% 0z.) crushed pineapple, %cup mayonnaise drained Y% teaspoon ginger % cup finely chopped celery % teaspoon seasoned salt Y% cup chopped green onion 4 English muffins, halved and toasted ¥% cup coarsely chopped cashews or macadamia nuts Drain and slice canned crab, reserving leg pieces for garnish. Combine with all but muffins. Soread mixture on muffins and place under broiler until piping hot. Gar- nish with leg pieces. (Can use other buns, or French bread) Serves 8. Trudy Middleton TUNA BUNS 2(7 oz.) cans tuna ¥% Cup mayonnaise 1 cup finely chopped celery Juice of 1lemon Ya cup minced green onion 8 buns, split and buttered % cup chopped peanuts Heat oven to 400°. Drain, rinse and flake tuna — add all ingredients and blend well. Spoon into buns, wrap in heavy foil and heat in oven for 15 minutes. Bertha Sutherland
