« @RERRERRERE ERR ARR RRR RR AAA ABABA ik ett ile ie ORANGE CAKE : 1 cup raisins 1 orange (whole) 1 cup sugar 14 cup butter 2 eggs 34 cup warm water 1 tsp. soda 2 cups flour 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. vanilla Put raisins and whole orange through meat chopper. Cream butter and sugar, add egg yolks then raisins and orange. Put soda in warm water, add alternately with sifted flour and cinnamon. Add vanilla and fold in beaten egg whites. Bake in moderate oven (350°) 40 minutes. MRS. G. W. TUCKETT. ONE EGG CAKE 11% cups flour 314 tsp. baking powder 14 tsp. salt 1/3 cup butter 1 cup sugar (white) 1 egg 1 cup milk 2 tsp. vanilla Cream butter and sugar, add egg and beat well. Sift flour and measure. Add salt, baking powder. Add to the first mixture beginning and ending with flour, alternating with milk. Chocolate Icing: 14 cup icing sugar 2 squares chocolate melted with a good piece butter Add 1 egg and 2 tsp. vanilla Beat well. MRS. E. A. JOYCE. THREE EGG ANGEL CAKE 34 cup sugar 1 cup flour _ 2/3 cup milk 2 tsp. Magic baking powder 3 egg whites 14 tsp. cream tartar 1/8 tsp. salt 14 tsp. almond extract Heat milk and sugar just to boil. Add salt to egg whites and beat until stiff. Add hot syrup slowly to egg whites, beating continually. Let cool. Sift flour, baking powder and cream of tartar (about 5 times). Fold into egg mixture.
