Mix thoroughly to coat all the fruit. Cream butter well, add sugar a little ata time until it is well mixed and creamed. Add well beaten egg yolks, mix well, then add orange juice, almond extract, vanilla and salt. Add flour, a little at a time and mix well then add mixture to fruit and fold in until well mixed. Beat egg whites until stiff, then fold in, don't beat. Have a 3 X 8 imch cake pan ready lined with three thickness of well greased brown paper, pour in cake mixture and bake at 300 degrees for 3 - 34 hours. For a Christmas Cake, add extra mixed fruit and 4 cup of Rum may be substituted for orange juice,
