BUTTER CHEWS i 34 cup butter 3 tbsp. white sugar 114 cups flour 3 egg yolks, beaten 214%, cups brown sugar 1 cup chopped nuts 34 cup shredded cocoanut 3 egg whites stiffly beaten Dusting sugar Cream butter and sugar well, then mix flour, bake in oven 375° for 15 minutes. Add brown sugar to egg yolks, add chopped nuts and cocoanut. Fold in beaten egg whites, pour over baked mixture. Cook 25-30 minutes. Dust with sugar. MRS. QUINTON McKAY. LEMON SLICES 15 graham wafers 14 cup white sugar Y% lb. butter 2 tbsp. flour Mix like pie paste. Bake 4 or 5 mins. Filling: Yolks of 3 eggs : 34 cup white sugar Rind and juice of lemon = 7 tbsp. water 1 tbsp. corn starch Cook until thick in double boiler.
