Women’s History Network offering writing prize By Bonnie Huskins Students who are able to shed some light on the subject of women’s history may wind up winning a prize through the first Women's History Network of the Fraser Valley writing contest. A prize of $100 will be awarded for the top essay. The contest deadline is May 10. The contest is open to any UCFV student. The prize will be awarded to the best research essay on any topic relating to the subject “history of Canadian women” written dunng the 1996/97 school year. It should be 3.000 to 4,000 words in length, and may be submitted either by the student or an instructor (with the student’s permission). To enter, submit two copies of the essay to Bonnie Huskins, History, Chilliwack campus. One copy must contain personal information, including name, date, address, phone number, and the student’s signature. The title page of the other must be blank, except for the title of the essay.
