Carlson were co-hostesses, Adoption Of 4-Year Course Debated Miss Piggott, Mt.Lehman high school principal, approached the school trus- tees relative to adoption of a four- year high 1001 course, to supersede year course. It was pointed out that the courses were optional, yet the new curriculum was wider in scope and the examination standard was raised, this in fairness to students and teachers. There was no obvious alternative but to make the change, But the trustees, while real- izing the necessity for the change and desirous to safeguard the efforts of the teachers, and the welfare of the students, feared it would involve high- er costs and further burdens on the taxpayers. Finally the matter was left in the hands of Trustees Smith and Auburn to consult with the high school princ- ipal and report at the next regular meeting, be Trustee Auburn was authorized to interview the Council with a view to necrest agent.
