The parasites are in carefully screened boxes when they go travelling and ice and excel- sior are packed around them in the cans to keep them cool and healthy during the hot trans-prairie trip. This is the second shipment receiy- ed this year, and the fourth in two years. Good results have been ob- tained with parasite liberations for other Insects, and Mr. Glendenning is hopeful that the ascosgaster and the macrocentrus will likewise prove help- ful. Experiments in regard to cultiva- ‘tion and sprays are also being carried out. Lawrence D.
