UCFV hosted the Tour de Fraser Valley, a cyclethon to raise money for scholarships, in May. The three-day tour went from Manning Park through Hope, Agassiz, Harrison, Mission, Abbotsford, Yarrow, and Cultus Lake, before winding up at the Cilliwack campus. UCRV riders were Leslie Aleksic, Mary Grace Grant, and Sheryl Henderson. James Salahub drove the support vehicle. The UCFV team raised $1,500. Teams from North Island and Cariboo also took part. ae The annual spring barbecue at the Chilliwack campus attracted 60 people and raised $325 for the Salvation Army. Music, food, sunshine, the Agriculture gardens and a festive spirit made for a good time. Births Congratulations to ECE/CYC’s Maple Melder Crozier and husband Mike, on the birth of Calvin Joseph on May 19. Calvin weighed 5 Ib, 12 oz.
