Add and mix Grind 2 cups of graham wafers and mix with 1 cup fine coconut and half cup chopped walnuts. Combine with first mixture and press into a 9x9 or larger pan. Icing 2 cups icing sugar % cup butter Y% cup milk 2 tablespoons vanilla cutard pow- der, or a little more. Mix and spread on top of first mix- ture and chill. CHOCOLATE DREAM CAKE 1% cups flour % cup butter 2 tablespoons sugar pinch of salt Combine all ingredients together, and mix as for pastry. Press and smooth into an 8x8 inch buttered cake pan and prepare topping. Top. 1 cup br. sugar, tightly packed 3 tablespoons flour % teaspoon baking powder 1% teaspoon salt Page 23 1 cup coconut 2 egg yolks % cup chopped walnuts 1 package chocolate chips 1 teaspoon vanilla To the brown sugar add flour, bak- ing powder and salt which have been sifted together. Add beaten egg yolks, coconut, walnuts and chocolate chins end beat all thoroughly together. Beat egg whites until they stand in peaks. Add vanilla, turn into mixture. Mix lightly and spread over prepared part in pan. Bake in a 350° oven for 35 minutes. When cool, ice with any ce- sired icing. Cut into squares to serve. Mrs. Janet Agnew, W.M Jubilee Chapter (27) CINNAMON TARTE ‘Cake: 6 tablespoons milk 1 cup flour 1 teaspoon baking powder % cup butter 1% cup sugar 4 egg yolks, beaten Filling Juice and rind 1 lemon 1 tablespoon flour Butter, size of walnut 1 egg 1 cup sugar 1 cup hot water Top. 1 cup sugar 1 cup chopped nuts 4 egg whites % teaspoon cinnamon Cream butter and sugar, add egg yolks and milk, then flour and baking powder Bake in greased pan Cook filling and put on baked cake.
