PECAN BARS 1 1/3 c. flour & ¢. chopped pecans 2 c. brown sugar 1/3 c. margarine 3 tsp. baking powder: Cream margarine and brown sugar. Add dry ingredients and mix until mixture resembles coarse meal. Stir in finely chopped pecans. Pat firmly into greased 8" square pan. Bake 10 minutes at 350°F, Topping - | 2 eggs (well beaten) c. brown sugar 3/h c. corn syrup tsp. salt 3 Tosp. flour : 1 tsp. vanilla Beat eggs well, then beat in corn syrup and sugar. Add other ingredients mixing well. Pour over partially baked crust and sprinkle top with 3/4 c. coarsely chopped pecans. Bake for 25 minutes at 350°F, Cut in bars. RR PeH --00000-- PINEAPPLE SQUARES 2 Tbsp. sugar % tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder &. Ce Tae 1 Tosp. melted margarine 2 egg yolks Cream sugar and margarine. Add egg yolks and beat well. Add dry ingredients. Spread in greased 8" square pan and cover with 4 c. drained pineapple (not too dry). Topping - 2k egg whites l ec. white sugar 1 ec. coconut 1 Tbsp: melted margarine Beat egg whites until stiff, then gradually beat in sugar. Add coconut which has been rubbed with 1 Tbsp. melted margarine. Spread over first mixture on top of pineapple. If desired, color the meringue.
